Design low risk\, high quality deliverables critical to eliminating cost overruns and deliver projects on-time and on-budget.\n\n\n\nBecome a valued project manager in any industry\, whatever your title may be with the Certificate of Project Management.  Develop a thorough understanding and practical application of the tools every project manager needs to ensure successful project planning from start to finish.\n\n\n\nThis program incorporates exercises to demonstrate real-world application and the role of decision-making in the project management process.  The project management concepts and terms taught in this program are based on PMI's PMBOK Guide.\n\n\n\nWho should attend? Anyone who plays a role in moving a project from start to finish including business owners\, project managers\, project management assistants\, superintendents\, team leaders\, sales managers\, and office administrators.\n\n\n\nSuccessful completion of this program results in PDU's from the Project Management Institute PMI. All participants will be notified of host venue changes as soon as possible.\n\nDID YOU KNOW? \n\nEmployers can apply for Customized Training Grants from West Michigan Works! for various types of trainings such as IPEx. Employers must submit a request by the 10th day of the month prior to the scheduled training to allow the review committee time to approve training requests.  Any employers that are interested in a Customized Training Grant\, or that would simply like additional information\, should contact Amy Graham (agraham@westmiworks.org or 269-832-1556) at West Michigan Works directly.\n\n\n\nCustomized Training provides funds* for employers in West Michigan to upgrade the skills of existing eligible employees in order to retain or maintain employment\, enhance their wage earning capacity\, add to the viability and productivity of the business or avert a layoff situation. This type of training is more commonly referred to as Incumbent Worker Training or IWT.\n\nEligible customized training may be linked to:\n\n\n	new technologies\n	new production or service procedures\n	skill attainment for career advancement\n	other training as determined\n\nEligible employers must:\n\n\n	conduct business in West Michigan Works! area\n	have been in business for at least one year prior to their application date\n	be financially sound and are current on all state tax obligations\n\n\n*Up to 50% of the cost of training\, i.e. instructor's wages/tuition\, curriculum development\, textbooks\, manuals\, etc.
