DESCRIPTION:Courageous conversations for a more equitable community. The second speaker in this 3-part series is Vicki Shumaker. Vicki is a Counselor at Meadow Run Holistic Counseling. She will be discussing the importance of mental health and wellness for teens and adults\, and how we can assist those fight unseen battles. \nVicki L. Shumaker MA\, LMSW\, CAADC\, ADS\, CTS is a skilled\, experienced social worker who has built her private practice in Hastings since 2011. She has assisted many individuals in this community and neighboring communities in building richer more rewarding lives. She holds a Master's degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica\, and an MSW from Western Michigan University. She holds various certifications\, most notably the certification of a level two Neuro-Emotional Technique Practitioner and as a Certified Trauma Specialist.\n\nShe currently enjoys her private practice at Meadow Run Holistic Counseling providing healing assistance to families\, individuals and couples\, as well as children. Treatment options include Play Therapy\, Expressive Art therapy\, Active Listening\, Mindfulness\, Neuro Emotional Technique and Auricular (ear) Acupuncture (NADA).
