A celebration to honor America’s 250th anniversary of independence will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Historic Charlton Park in Hastings from 12-4:15 pm. In addition to the American Legion Post 45 of Hastings flag-raising, veterans fundraising barbeque, a pie auction, and old-fashioned games, two concerts will add to the festive atmosphere! Parking and admission are free.
Bring a picnic or purchase BBQ and enjoy live music and a festive atmosphere. The concerts are presented in partnership with the Thornapple Arts Council, and supported by funding from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council.

But what exactly is old time music? Together, we will explore the cultural heritage of old time and experience an array of songs exemplifying the style.
