Barry Business Team Collaborative: Cider, Donuts & Downtown Redevelopment
Cider, Donuts & Downtown Redevelopment
Success Stories & Tools for Community Revitalization
Keynote: Bruce Johnston, Revitalize LLC
Bruce Johnston served as the Ingham County Housing Commission’s Executive Director for 30 years, where he successfully implemented state and local programs to spur the development of dozens of new apartments throughout downtown Mason. After retirement, he started his own company, Revitalize, LLC, to work statewide with developers and communities to plan and implement redevelopment projects, normally with significant downtown housing and historic preservation components. He enjoys working in small towns, as he sees immense potential in both preserving the buildings and bringing additional residents and economic development to these downtowns. Bruce is a Licensed Grant Administrator with the State of Michigan.
Bruce will provide examples of recent success stories, ongoing projects, and the latest tools that are available.
This program is proudly brought to you by Commercial Bank and the Barry County Chamber & Economic Development Alliance.
