ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

Ashley Lantinga, Director of Culture & Relations, MKP CPA

Ashley joined the MKP team in 2012. As the Director of Culture and Relations, Ashley is responsible for maintaining a healthy culture throughout the firm, and ensuring all departments align with the organizations mission, vision, and values. She leads our firm in client and employee relations, engagement, development, and recruiting. Ashley also handles community involvement, interaction, and firm event planning.  She finds joy in building up her team and encouraging everyone with her favorite motto, “Teamwork makes the dream work!”  Ashley rarely has a moment of free time, but she is very intentional about spending that time with family and friends. If you are looking for a way into Ashley’s heart, start with some good music and tacos.

Erin Bemis, Founder, Bemus Consulting
Focused on operational success, communications and digital marketing, the clients of Bemis Consulting are primarily Associations, Chambers of Commerce and large corporations. Here’s a little bit about her journey to today: Erin currently serves as the Director of Chamber Relations for the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as the Director of the Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals and is a speaker and trainer for Google’s Grow with Google team. Her career began in the nonprofit sector, eventually becoming CEO of a successful mid size Chamber of Commerce and earning consecutive titles of Michigan Chamber of Commerce of the Year. Next, she became top of the team as a Regional Development Director for Constant Contact, an email marketing company. Most recently, she joined the team at Convergent Nonprofit Solutions as a Senior Project Director and is located in Broken Arrow, OK, running their capital campaign. Having educated tens of thousands of attendees, combined with over 20 years’ experience working for and with small businesses, nonprofits and associations, she has seen it all: the good, the bad, and the unmentionables too. She holds degrees in Marketing and Business Administration, and is a graduate of the Institute for Organization Management. What you really want to know about Erin is that she is a Northern Michigan native, is one of 13 children and has three sons whom she adores. Her main addictions in life are travelling, music, beaches, boating and bubbles.
