Eat Your Invasives: Garlic Mustard Pull and Pesto
Eat Your Invasives Series: Garlic Mustard Pull and Pesto (Ages 15+, under 18 with adult)
Wednesday, May 17
6–8 pm
Join us this year in a joint effort between the Institute’s stewardship and education departments to learn how to manage invasive plants and then forage those plants to make tasty treats. Each program includes an outdoor experience identifying and managing a specific invasive species and a classroom component creating a recipe with the plant while discussing preparation techniques that could be enjoyed at home.
The first program in the series will cover garlic mustard. The remaining programs will cover dandelions (June), autumn olive (September), and multiflora rose (November).
