The Ability Collective: Pi Lab
Pi Lab is a four-session pilot program for kids aged 14-17 (flexible for younger students interested in participating) who are interested in computers and technology. The class will be hands-on, fun, and designed with neurodivergent learners in mind. It will be taught by Rob Bayerl, Software Engineer and self-advocate with the Ability Collective.
Program Details:
- Thursdays in October, 7:00pm-8:30pm, starting 10/9
- 118 W. State Street, Hastings MI (Great Start Collaborative office)
- $50, includes all materials -- scholarships are available at registration for any family that needs the fee waived

Participants will learn to:
- Solder components and use maker tools
- Install and setup an operating system on a single-board computer
- Configure software and bluetooth connectivity
